Adroit is the Creative Arts Journal of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Bainbridge

Not to be confused with The Adroit Journal founded by Peter LaBerge, the student-run Adroit of ABAC Bainbridge publishes the creative work of--or related to--the community members, faculty, and students of Southwest Georgia.

Submissions accepted year-round. Our submission period for each edition ends February 1st of each academic year.  Submissions made after February 1st will be considered for the following edition.

DEADLINE FEBRUARY 1

We do not accept emailed or hard-copy submissions. All submissions must be uploaded through Submittable.

We welcome submissions of original poetry, fiction, nonfiction, comics, graphic novellas/short stories, and artwork (including digitally-represented mixed media, textiles, photography, painting, pen and ink, etc), uploaded through the website. We do not accept previously published work, but we will consider simultaneous submissions. Please alert us in your cover letter if your work is under consideration elsewhere and withdraw your work through Submittable immediately if accepted by another publication.  You must have the rights to publish commissioned artwork.

We will accept up to six poems, photos, or art pieces, or one or more works of prose (fiction or nonfiction) from each author or artist, not to exceed a total of 6,000 words.  If submitting multiple works, please submit each work individually.

Cover Letter: Please include a cover letter to provide context for for each piece and yourself as a creator.  Typical cover letters introduce the author/artist in one to two sentences, then introduce the work in two to three sentences, giving context such as: inspiration, goals, technique, and medium.

The review process is blind. Your name should not appear legibly anywhere on the pieces submitted.
